    Mercy outpatient imaging is looking for a PRN sonographer who is willing to rotate to all outpatient locations. We have four sites which are located in south county, west county, north county and O' Fallon. We primarily do abdominal and small part exams.     Job Type/Schedule

    This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

    Department Name/Job Location

    This position is in the Department of Ob/Gyn. This position is for the Medical School Campus.

    Essential Functions


    Position performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.


    Performs ultrasound examinations per scanning protocols, correcting patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
    Assists physicians with procedures, providing sonographic guidance during process, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs assisting physicians with patient support.
    Teaches ultrasound procedures and techniques to visitors in the department such as residents, students, fellows and new sonographers, and enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings and conferences.
    Maintains documentation as required including patient files, performs data entry, and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
    Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies and equipment.
    Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
    Performs phlebotomy and injections when required.
    Other Functions:

    Assists with maintaining supplies and equipment.
    Assists clerical staff with front desk support when needed.

    Required Qualifications

    Equivalent of High School diploma and Registered or registry eligible status (A.R.D.M.S.) required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Some experience in ultrasound preferred.
    Working knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures with interpersonal and communication skills.

    Salary Range

    The hiring range for this position is $26.62 - $33.94 per hour.

    Womens Health Partner (Friday, 16 November 2018 12:38)

    Part time position in Gynecology office in the University Club Tower, Brentwood Mo. The position is paid per patient and currently is scheduled one Saturday per month and one weekday evening per month. The patients are scheduled in 30 minute intervals,
    Must be current RDMS.
    Prefer 5 years experience as you will be previewing the study for the physician.
